Let's Start Again

Hi.

I know, this is a bit awkward. We haven't seen each other in so long.

We're fast approaching the anniversary of it.

It.

You know.

My last post, okay. There, I said it.

I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed my time blogging last year. You can read everything I wrote in those six months if you click on "it" a couple paragraphs back. But you don't have to. I can't force you. I won't.

A lot's happened in the past year. That old blog doesn't even begin to describe my life as it stands today. And it ended right as my world started to change completely. So the sequel is about what's changed. Isn't that how it goes in the movies? I should know as I anticipate one day considering show business my "field."

It's the pretty moving pictures.

The bright lights.

Before you start getting the wrong idea, though that ship may have already sailed, let me make myself absolutely clear when I tell you that I am not an actor. Pretty far from it, actually. A video editor, in fact. I put the pretty moving pictures together in a coherent sequence that tells a story.

Or something.

Anyway, when I'm not editing, I'm writing. And when I'm not writing, I'm thinking about writing. And lately I've been thinking about writing so much that I've decided to take action. I love to write. And on occasion I like people to read what I write because as much as I love doing it for me, there's no story if there's no audience.

I like to tell stories. You are my audience. We seem to have what we need here.

Now if you have come across this blog by accident or something and are wary of what to expect I can only point you the way of my old blog as an example of my writing style. Content will obviously vary widely and will consist of pretty much whatever is in my head at the moment. Feel free to comment if you have a topic to suggest. I can't guarantee I'll be interested though.

All right, well I believe I'll leave it at that for now.

Except to say this: It's not like I meant to quit or anything. I loved writing every day. But I sort of ran out of time. The semester kicked in and then I started a new job — which was short-lived by the way. (More on that later.) Needless to say I have enough material for stories to last me a while I think. And I plan to make time to write now. Even if I don't write every day. At least every other day or so.

And pictures as often as possible. One thing you should know about me is I'm an absolute nut for Iceland. Wonderful little Scandinavian nation. Oh, and hockey. Of course. How could I forget?

I started a hockey blog last year too. And that fell by the wayside as well.

Okay, well wish me luck on this venture. It's the sequel. The second blog for the next chapter in my life.

I hope you enjoy it. And failing that, I hope you can at least stand to read it. And heck, why not even drop me a line every now and then.
